The Eventuri Hybrid Airbox System for the BMW M3 (E46) offers the CSL-inspired induction sound and performance characteristics while maintaining OEM drivability and compatibility with the factory MAF sensor. This version is designed for vehicles already equipped with the Eventuri intake, allowing owners to reuse their existing carbon filter housing and cold air scoop. The system requires no ECU remap and integrates seamlessly with the stock engine management system.
Performance Increase with OEM ECU tune: 20–22 hp, 8–13 ft-lb.
Main Airbox Assembly
The main airbox features six molded intake trumpets and integrated breather connectors. Manufactured from prepreg carbon fiber, it produces the signature CSL induction tone under load. The trumpets are made from glass fiber-reinforced thermoplastic for precision and durability, featuring stainless steel reinforcement rings to prevent deformation under clamp pressure. All joints are sealed and mechanically fastened for long-term stability under heat and vibration.
Airbox Snorkel
The carbon fiber snorkel channels air from the front intake toward the main airbox. It includes a CNC-machined MAF boss that accommodates the factory sensor, ensuring accurate readings without calibration changes. The snorkel is secured using specialized screws and locking clips to maintain tightness under dynamic conditions.
Patented Technology
The airbox design utilizes Eventuri’s patented Venturi principle, which promotes laminar flow and minimizes drag by accelerating air through a gradually narrowing section. This configuration optimizes efficiency and throttle response while preserving consistent sensor operation and airflow stability.
Cold Air Scoop Compatibility
This version of the airbox is compatible with the existing Eventuri carbon fiber cold air scoop. The scoop directs cool ambient air from the brake duct toward the airbox inlet, ensuring consistent performance and low intake air temperatures.

The Hybrid Airbox (without intake) includes all necessary components for installation and integration with an existing Eventuri intake. No ECU tuning or additional breather modifications are required. The SMG reservoir relocation kit remains the only additional component needed.
